Abstract

Matematika di sekolah dasar memegang peran penting dalam mengasah kemampuan berpikir kritis, logis, dan sistematis. Namun banyak siswa mengalami hambatan dalam memahami konsep geometri, khususnya materi bangun datar, akibat pendekatan pembelajaran yang kurang inovatif dan minim partisipasi aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas media pembelajaran memory game dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen tipe pretest-posttest control group. Sampel terdiri atas dua kelas di SDN Talabiu, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup angket minat belajar dengan empat indikator keterlibatan aktif, dorongan menyelesaikan tugas, rasa ingin tahu, dan konsentrasi serta tes uraian untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep, penerapan rumus, dan penyelesaian soal. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan skor hasil belajar pada kelompok eksperimen dari 64,17 menjadi 93,54, sedangkan kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 58,00 menjadi 83,80. Uji-t menunjukkan signifikansi tinggi (p < 0,001) dan effect size besar (Cohen’s d = 2,073). Indikator minat belajar juga mengalami peningkatan, meskipun tidak semua signifikan secara statistik. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa Memory Game mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan efektif.
